Yes its an aftermarket aw11 aluminium radiator. I need to make a thermofan fit it with proper ducting and run a header tank, but it fits where it needs to and has the right outlets.

Yes its the Bonds cage from Gunnedah NSW that was on ebay. It was cheap to buy thanks to your phone, but it was still $200 to freight it to a Brisbane depot. Looks like a great cage for less than what most people spend on a Cusco half cage. I was excited and surprised to only get it for what I paid. I also had a bid around what you were putting in, but I was surprised that nobody else bid up any higher. At the time I remember thinking, "AE86 owners are so tight! I just bought this for less than half cause I was the only one willing to spend anything even remotely like what it was worth." Now hearing about your mobile net issues I understand what happened. All I can say is Telstra 4g and Android phones are the way!

Forgot to mention. Went through a pile of tail shafts looking for something that might fit. The mk 2 'rona auto shaft fits the box and diff but is about 50mm too long. I'm going to take that to the shop and have it shortened.

Car goes to Muffler Mad Browns Plains Monday for a full performance exhaust system, cage fitment, blue plates, fit the diff adapters, some rust repairs in the floor, and maybe rework the boot floor sheetmetal to get rid of the damaged wheel well.

Once its all done then Ill have it back and look to wire it asap.

I got in touch with Bonds about the finer points of ther cage. Its CDW tube of course, will satisfy all cams regs axcept the newest one about diagonal main hoop braces, so I might have to add an extra brace for the main hoop to make a full x brace, then it will be satisfactory to cams regs.

They also faxed me an installation sheet, to make sure its put in right. Will have to mount my drivers seat before sending it down there over the weekend. Thinking I might just stick with my recaros, as the rx8 seats are nice looking and comfy, but dont have as great a hold as the recaros and weight more. They kinda go against my lightweight theme.

I guess it will be still heavier than a stock ae86, with the larger diff, gearbox, front struts and rollcage. The engine is no heavier though, and I save a few kgs with the fibreglass panels and 2 seater conversion, plus the new fuel tank is a little lighter than stock.

PM me an offer if you want them. It would be nice to move em on. Black/Charcoal and red leather. Divers has a little wear to the edge where you get in and out, but not on the actual cushions, just the side panel. They are the top spec ones from a fully optioned car.
