sexy time in the google sack.
Lolllllll! Mad ride dude!
Cheers Clinton.
I got a bellhousing for it today...
Ta Dah.
I scored a w58 for it today too with shifter, yoke, speedo cable and crossmember still attached.
So far this project owes me $950 and that includes motor, box, bellhousing and shipping the motor up from Melbourne.

Not every bolt works, but by the time I get the starter in Ill have enough bolts to hold it together like it should be. Its kind of like the VZ pattern, which is based on S.
fairly keen to this all together
looking good ! My only concern would be the just how tall it is. And being an allow sump... and the location of the oil filter ? Have you dummy fitted the engine yet ?
Hey Stu.
Its not an alloy sump, its a pressed steel plate and its at the front. It needs slight reshaping to make it work, but not for clearance, more for oiling issues.
I think the architecture of the block is such that it will fit over the crossmember nicely, It will sit a minimum 65mm taller than a 4age, maybe as much as 80mm in the worst case scenario.
Theres no denying its a taller block, but if a 5sfe fits, this will fit. Its basically a motor thats designed to slot into a camry to replace a 5sfe.
Im only a short time away from test fitting, and Ill probably mod the gearbox crossmember myself, and then start on engine mounts.
As it is there is nothing on it that will stick out further or too much higher than a 4age dizzy with a kaixen cap on it. Im pretty excited to see how it sits.
