Black bumper paint? Painted the bars on my car and it's lasted well and still looks great.
Hi guys, just wondering what people use on there stock bumpers to keep them looking black and not the washed out grey color?
I used inox on mine (inox is very similar to crc), which makes them looking nice and black but if you drive in the rain it washes the inox off.

I use Mcquires tyre shine gel, but a trick of the reco trade is plain old "johnson & johnson" baby oil. Both just reapply each time after you wash the car.
+1 for this.
You can buy decent quality bumper paint in a can. Some brands are self priming, and some you need plastic primer first. I like the 'K&H Industries" one personally. They come up really well, much better than you would think. Lasts, doesn't crack and looks neat. (as long as it has been cleaned well and gone over with wax and grease remover prior to paint...
I know of another local AE86 Nut who uses this on his cars, and also recomends it.....

K&H is amazing. Used it on all my cars, lasting and comes up great.
My old bumpers. There's a plastic primer that they also supply. As long as you give the bumper a good scrub with wax & paint remover beforehand it'll last.
+1 for k&h bumper black (now owned by 3M), easy to use and durable, looks better then glossy finishes too

k&h has always been my weapon of choice for bumpers. cant put too much of the shit on either which is my kind of paint.
I just use armour all on my front bar which is new. Just apply every time I wash the car.
i also wipe with armour all after everywash
