ok. thought i would put up a build thread. havent been on here in a while after selling the coupe.
got a mortgage now so car fund is a little short. but after talking to a friend he had an r32 shell sitting at his house. if i was to buy another car wanted something somewhat legal. or if i did get defected was easy to clear so the $900 r32 shell was a start.
picked up a cheap rb25 so the it started.
mods to date are:
ebay kingawa tdo6 turbo (tried as hard as we could to get the internal gate working but boost kept creeping)
38mm ebay wastegate welded to turbo housing
660cc nismo injectors
standard airbox with blitz panel filter got it from autobacs in japan when i was there, score!
standard bov
makes 240rwkw on 14psi and 280 on 18psi
has r32 gtr front seats bolt in half cage and in the middle of sorting suspension and alignment at the moment.
done one drift day. not as good as the 86 but cost me half the price.
Cool as. Are those the 16x9 +20 BBS Copies? Look awesome
looks like a nice setup! paints doing no favours haha
they are the otomoto 16x9 0 offset. waiting on rear coilovers to sort out better fitment on the rear. tossing up 205/50s instead of 55s.
yeah will paint it soon. painted the engine bay already. thats the colour the car will be.
Are you thinking of going R32GTR facelift? Please consider it lol
dose
Whats the difference? guards and bar?
if i can find cheap parts i would. dont want fibreglass bar but.
and bonnet is different. a lot lighter i believe, but you need all the gtr pieces otherwise it doesn't fit. engine bay colour looks great
stroked 2L ca18-ae86 in the build...eta xmas 2012?
gtr fronts are for gtr's
gtr front mounts to a gtst. But you need guards, bonnet, bar and grill too. The bonnet and guards are made of aluminium so they are heaps lighter, but honestly, for the price youd pay, dont worry about it......it does look boss though
