    Default jdm ae86 radiator

does anybody have a measurement of the thickness of a jdm 86 radiator? or any other ways of identifying its a genuine jdm version. i just got one but im pretty sure its a adm version.
i've had a look inside the radiator cap part and i can only see one row of holes, when jdm versions are described as twin row im assuming i should be able to see two rows of holes then?
the one i just received is 15mm thick and the one in my car is also 15mm thick. so either i already had a jdm rad or i've ended up with two adm ones

I've never bothered to check the epc for radiators but now I did. Only 1 part number for ae85/6 on a MT and one for an AT.

Its the same between all versions around the world... which would indicate that at least for every MT ae85/6 they all came with a single core radiator standard. If its twincore, it will be aftermarket (or maybe an AT radiator, but i've never seen an oem AT radiator so who knows).

I guess that means my twincore that looks oem is prossibly a koyo as told by the previous owner....

Only factory auto 86's had twin core radiators, I found this when I was working for Toyota and looking for genuine radiators. They have them to cope with the extra heat from the auto cooler inside the radiator.

cheers for the input, i've never had an issue with the stock radiator anyway. copes fine with my 4age and ae82 thermo fan setup.
always hear people saying that a 4age 86 with a stock radiator will be left wanting more cooling during summer, now we can say there is no difference between adm and jdm radiators. jdm runs a factory oil cooler right?

No oil coolers on jdm.... even with the fwd bigports (ie fx-16's etc)

only aus spec 4age's had the coolers because of our climate.

As for the auto radiator, ive only had a none genuine replacement radiator which was single core with auto lines on it... not sure how that would have worked though
