Nice bit of kit hey... I was set on the bullet supercharger, now I'm not so sure.
Only 5 to 8 psi too! Still recon the SC will press that much no worries minus the lag (even if minimal)
thats a hell of alot of pigeon! hahaha...
good to see that it should be able to make some good numbers on a relatively stock motor...i still would love to know just how strong the motor is!
211rwkw at 8psi with 12.5cr, it wont last long
163rwkw at 5psi on 98 should be ok.
Interesting to see the Haltech doesnt control the Direct Injection yet
Why wont it last long???
it will be interesting to see how long the standard motor will last at certain PSI points, The boys at castle hill have done a good job with this kit, looks awesome and stealth as.
I think there is going to be alot of debate over turbo VS Supercharging these motors in the next couple of months, ive got my hands on SC for a much better daily driver with power on demand and usable power right through the rev range using a PD blower and not a centrifugal blower like the HKS kit
Rust is a way of life
Seems like a good conversion...
but I still have my concerns about a forces induction engine with a 12.5:1 compression...
I mean that's higher than most built n/a motors ae86 fiends are running...
Obvious being a modern engine with sequential injection certainly helps...
Ultimately time will tell what the potential of this engine in stock form is, but most workshops i've spoken to about running higher boost they've all indicated there is more left in the engine but they are playing it safe as if they push it too far and destroy an engine they'll be waiting a long time for a replacement engine.
These engines have multiple knock sensors and 8 injectors, 4 regular and 4 direct into the combustion chamber.
