Bit of a strange 1. I will be taking the bottom end out/apart in the next day or so.
I was expecting to find a head gasket blown between 2-3 but the problem seems bigger than that.
Mixture and burn colour in the ports & pots look good. However, i think there has been some random spark issues. Big port dizzy is the most likely culprit.

What was the piston ring end gap set at?

Lets us know what you find, once you pull the piston. It will be interesting to find out what caused it. Davew7
Well. The ring lands are intact. That kind of buried the detonation theories. I'm thinking a possible clearance issue?...
