Hey Ben, there should be a good group of us who do the street sprints and hillclimbs at lakeside next weekend. Yaris, bmw... all sorts. Im going to ask if we can all be in the same group together. Should be fun. come say G'day.

Quick up date,
getting Tboned in my ute at the start of december, cracking/breaking 5 ribs etc, has slowed all work on the car. As a result it has not been striped and resprayed. I have been doing some slick tyre testing at lakeside and this weekend at Norwell. more on that soon.
I decided to give it some love and paint it. White tint, Black tint and TRD Grey, all in 2K. All most done, should have it ready to run by Sunday afternoon... I hope.
Great write up mate, engine build had lots of good info. Cars looking great and a lot of fun to drive. Awesome work!
Impressive! Whats the story with the black front bar, change of mind?
Thanks guys, it has been my 2 week holiday project, even if it is draging into this week. The colour scheme is something that a good mate of mine has been doing on all of his cars in Japan for quite a while now. I like is because it is a little different, but a good clean look on any make. The tow ute is getting the same treatment as will the other race car when I re-paint it in the future.
All the suspension is out at the moment and I will have it painted propperly tomorrow night. The interior is next but I have it entered for the morgan park sprint series next weekend, so it will have to wait for a free weekend. This weekend is going to be enough of a mission getting the suspension, engine and box back in, not to mention the wiring jungle that was. The box is off getting all new bearings and synchro's and should be ready Saturday morning.
Don't be surprised if you see this up for sale soon, I have found and old Group A rally AE and went over to NZ tocheck it out at easter... All the numbers and dates checked out so it is now in my shed as well. Im slowly collecting bits for it but needs some serious love and $$$
wikid build mate, love the track vids to, inspired me a little

BENT MECHANIX - Garage 20:
Sounds like a good plan. I hope you can keep this one, though if I had the money I'd buy it! Waiting for the rest of the pics now.
Looking forward to seeing how this build progresses and the end result. Would be a shame to sell it after all the hard work you put into it but I can understand why if your up for the next project. Your Group A rally car sounds cool man, can wait to see pics of that and what gear it has in it! Judging by this build its in good hands.
