Exactly, the hilux's we get from the mines sometimes get abused and still hold up alright not my choice I would rather a multivalve turbo 100 series landcrusier over the price on a new hilux but thats just because I work on them all day and see the homos that fuck with them, haha.

do not get any after sales extras on your new car.
interior protection is just a spray that you can get from super cheap for less than $30.
paint protection as mentioned before. if the paint wasnt good enough from the factory then it wouldnt leave the factory.
tint is a joke. i bought a new mazda 3 last year and they wanted over $600 for tint. so i called a private business and he usually gets the cars that my dealer tints. he said they only pay him the $290 and pocket the rest for doing nothing.
if you want tow bar/bull bar just go to arb or somewhere like that and get a proper one for the same money.

the aftermarket salesmen just pray on people who spend 30+k on a car so whats an extra 2grand?

dmax makes the colarado look stupid. Colorado is basically a remade dmax by daweoo with inferior componentry in many places.

New tritons, tappet adjustment every 30,000km's (once your out of capped price servicing its like 1200 bucks)

So is hilux, every 40k valve inspection, so gets pretty expensive after as above capped price servicing, that said you don't need to get them done, all the ones we've checked on nightshift have all been in spec and if adjustment is required it can get expensive labor wise.

ive literally molested my hilux for 80 thou ks and nothing has gone wrong, never been serviced by the dealer. When i say molest, i mean molest. Every time i drive it, it spends the majority of its time in the upper half of the revs.
