So not really an update but, it looked awesome so. The chassis rails now sit flush with the sills so I'm hoping that once the rails are in the car it should be pretty low

sort of.... its mainly when you remove the roof of a car not the floor pan, so long as it still has a,b,c pillars and the sills it will stay in shape as sr_andy said with the doors still closing etc.

U can remove a roof off of a vehicle and its not going to move out of square. Roofs are just panels that are sat on top and spot welded on. They have zero structural strength.
