so picked car up from Heasmans last night
rear pass side brake still making funny noise, and CP still whingy
I have some oem caliper nipples to install to ensure brakes are all bled correctly. and will check out this brake noise at the same time
haha no way, a car with such a chassis it would be too intrusive
got it to slide past the photographers on the left right switch back
was good fun - wasnt thinking about the 10,000 euro damage insurance haha
had some awesome battles as well

found out what the noise was lol
a caliper bolt was missing and the other was loose!
so put another bolt in and tightened them up, installed new caliper nipples and bled brakes
Finally got the corolla out to wakefield yesterday for a Trackschool day, had a blast!
Have alot to learn on the line and need to change my front suspension setup
my PB of the day was 1:18.1, for comparison the red honda civic with B16 got 1:17.9 and the white mx5 got 1:17.1
so happy about my time for first timer at wakeys!
so my cousin was ordering some new trd shocks from japan so i thought i would take advantage and get my front suspension sorted.
TRD AE86 Racing shock 5 way adjustable made by Tokico
Comparing old KYB Excel G shock with the TRD item, same cartridge length, shorter stroke
the struts on the right went in today, car instantly feels so much better to drive, so they have the TRD shocks, AJPS 8kg springs, roll centre adjusters, brand new Cusco cambertops and have been cut to suit the shocks length
sits alot lower and drives so much nicer than before, i also might sell off the onis and get some 7in wide rims
Spent some more time this weekend preparing for track day this sunday
Tidied up my lower radiator hose by shortening the straight part going into the engine to reduce the kink in the bend. You cannot use an AE86 hose due to the AE71 radiator being narrower so a custom setup need to be used.
I also finished the brackets and hoses for my oil cooler setup
And installed my water temp sensor adapter into the upper radiator hose
I also tidied up the broken Toda dizzy heat shield (do not buy) and ziptied it strongly back into place. This is necessary to protect the electricals from being melted by the headers. I have also used gold heat shielding on the aluminium shield for further protection
Next to do is finalise the wiring for the VDO gauge setup i will now be using, get rego, then hit the track on sunday!
Looking really good man! Everything is super tidy
Just realised I have never uploaded an engine bay shot, I am in the process of changing the heat shielding on the firewall to the gold stuff, so should look alot better and I want to get an oem intake pipe to better clear the top radiator hose
cool car!
