also is there a way to stop the tyres rubbing the tension rods on full lock? would getting lower offset wheels should fix it?
hey guys
Just wondering what other rack ends are out there that are longer then the standard ke70 examples? have been playing around with the track on my car so i don't rub my inner guard on full lock. But have run out of adjustment on the tie rod end/rack end. Have heard that ae86 power steering rack ends are longer but don't know by how much, anyone know?
cheers
Ryan

what offset wheels do you run?i run a 14x8 neg 18 on front with decent lock,it only just rubs chassis rail on full lock when traveling at speed, nothing else rubs at all
i've got 15X7 -1 on the front. The only thing that it rubs on is the tension rod at nearly full lock everything else clears.
RA60 celica ones are a fair bit longer.
You will need wider wheels with more - offset of spacers either of those will be the easy way. Or get more front end track.

RA60 rackends are longer
Ok sweet that's just what I was after, will pick up a set of ra60 rack ends from work. Ah K may look into running a small slip on spacer on the front as well.
ive got t3 adjustable LCA's so I've got enough adjustment in them to make it clear, its just that the I didn't have enough rack end adjustment left to track it out anymore with out getting mad toe out.
I had this issue the other week and got ra60 rack ends to run with new stock ke70 tie rods and xt130 lcas. I haven't put it all together yet but apparently works out sweet
yea have ordered some so should be putting them in tomorrow, so ill see how i go.
