The Toyota GT86 / BRZ haters thread!

To keep the rest of the forum threads clean and free of oh but it has a boxer engine it sucks style comments I've created this thread for everyone who isn't a fan of the 86 to unleash / pass comments about what they hate about it and why they won't be buying one..

Anytime there is a sweet 86 pic on jdm girls Facebook page all the comments are from haters yakking on about no power this and that, comparing it to other cars that are way over the price limit etc. talking about it's all subarus idea made with Toyota money. Funniest thing I heard was that the hyundai Genesis shits all over it. All the hate makes me want one actually.

Yeah it shits me as well, hence why i thought haters will be haters so let them bag it all in one spot vs in every thread on here...

They don't feel fast, but they aren't a slouch either...

i personally think toyota helped out subaru, the new 86 is the only decent looking thing with a subaru badge on it at the moment.
as if toyota couldnt have made a sports car without subaru....look at history....
sorry im just a bit pissed at what subaru have done with their current lineup of cars.

Current model impreza is miles ahead of anything else they do looks wise, saw a sedan the other night an didn't think it looked too bad to be honest.

On topic, I really like the new 86/brz after driving a brz around the block the other day. The thing I hate about them is that most of the people i've come across that own them are absolute wankers, especially when they try and convince me that their new 86 is more of a drivers car than my notchback.

Ok new 86 has horrible wheels/factory fitment. 5x100 PCd is pretty useless these days too. Even sti of late run 5x114.3

every car has points i dont like about it

but i think theyre awesome

sure i dont like the motor (and subaru connection) or the stud pattern but other than that theyre spot on

Cause some negative comments come from people who have not sat it one let alone drive one for a week or more.
They just read stuff then make up there own mind and blurt regurgitated crap.
There are valid and sensible reasons Toyota and Subaru got together, the one I like is 'When two minds come together' and combine ideas and experience, then you get even greater cars we can drive.
