haha. Thats okay bro! I was gunna put it on myself, but ive never really played with wiring to this extent before and I dont really want to do it by myself haha. and because my 86 is my daily I need it off the road for the least time as possible.
okay. So last night Brett (haveaparty) came round and gave me a massive help! thanks heaps dude. but here's the thing. We Put the ITB's on and we have fuel, got power to the ecu, it cranks but we have no spark! I also had a few existing wires that ran to my coil positive and negative, but now I dont know where to run them.. the setup also came with a smallport coil and smallport.
This is the coil and Igniter I have now.. in the photo below.
And this is my old type of coil..
Bar checking the obvious like power to coil etc just get your software up and running and check if your getting a crank signal..did ye guys do any wiring to the dizzy or was it as is? Are your injectors pulsing? Il call tomor or Monday night if ya want mate..
Maybe i am being retarded but are the pins on the coil looped to each other?
^I see the same thing
Igniter earths through the case, so make sure that shit is bolted down to a clean surface that gave me a few issues in the past.
Coil is the same.
Do you have to do anything special when putting on a metal head gasket?
No I dont think so. Just make sure both surfaces are spotlessly clean.
So this weekend I put my ITB's on. HUGE thanks to Brett (haveaparty) for his help. And also Matt (85Kai) for coming around and being Mr. supervisor Finally got the car running a few hours ago! Still waiting for my valve springs to arrive then I can put my cams in then get a tune! So keen. heres a few Pictures
No worries man. Always glad to help anyone out. Glad it all worked out in the end. Keen for skids
