Hi all, so I'm really getting a problem getting my brakes to build up pressure.
Bit of background,
Car (ke70) is running standard booster with s13 (bm44) master cylinder with s13 front callers. I have just put new rear drums and wheels cylinders after my first attempt to bleed the system failed and was told new shoes and drums could fix it. I also adjust the handbrake as I was also told this could be a issue.
So when I first bleed the system the pedal was ok, pedal was soft but It would stop the car somewhat, but the pedal was bottoming out tho. At this stage i checked my booster if it would hold pressure and it did. Also checked the master by holding light pressure on it and it stayed where it was. This told me they were both ok ( I believe ) After I changed the rear shoes and drums I bleed it all again and it becomes worse.
I have since bleed it about 4 times starting from the wheel furthest from the master. Still no luck
If I jump in the car and push the pedal it goes straight to the floor,
pump it a few times and it creates SOME pressure holds about half way,
let go, wait a few seconds push the pedal again straight to the floor again
if I start the car and apply the brake I have pretty much no brake.
seems to me that I have air in the system but I have bleed it about 4 times and no air is coming out.
is the any adjustment in the master or booster I can try? I have played with the adjustment above the pedal itself and still the same thing..
Any pointers of stuff to rule out would be awsome! This is pretty much the only thing holding me back of taking it out for the first drive!!!
Cheers
