1982 KE70 Corolla, Byron Bay

Hey AE86DC,

This is my grandmother's car, it's a 1982 KE70 Corolla. It has rego until July 10th 2013. She has owned it for at least 16 years (she's had it for as long as I can remember anyway). She wants to sell it to purchase a newer car with air conditioning and power steering, so this is up for sale.

Details:

Driveline/mechanical:
- Original 4K engine
- 5 speed gearbox
- 269 000km on the dash
- Waterpump replaced recently
- Always been serviced by a mechanic
- Brakes were rebuilt a couple of years ago

Exterior:
- Flat front
- Baby blue colour
- Tyres were replaced about 6 months ago when it went through rego
- There are a few dings here and there
- Some rust spots: under the rear bumper, a few little spots around the doors, one little rust patch under the driver's side mirror, not much you wouldn't expect from a 30 year old car
- Some paint chipping off the boot lid

Interior
- All original interior except for an aftermarket tape player that was probably installed 20 years ago
- Uncracked dash
- Clean carpet
- Awesome granny-like seat covers
- The base of the driver's seat has collapsed unfortunately

Other:

This thing has barely been driven in the last few years, she might drive it a few times a month if that. It is such a granny car, it even has window-visors and a steering wheel cover. It's a pretty cool little car, it's all original basically. I actually took it for a drive today and it drives fine, it drives just as well as my daily KE70: the gearbox feels fine, the 4K goes pretty well, although the steering has a little bit a play, probably from worn tie rods or racks ends, it's not that bad though.
