I had to use the 21 alternator and swap the power steer pump over etc......remember I still need a rwc so im putting the stock air cleaner back on too.....just waiting on an adaptor.
I wanted it to look as stock as possible

Do they check the engine number. And should keep the 21r sticker on the cover. Looking at it u couldnt even tell its a 22r
They'll check it.....the rwc guy knows the deal....just he wants it to look stock for vic roads.......the 22r stamp is seperate from the engine number tho.

Good luck dude. So glad in sa we dont have to worry about rwc
So she done rather well on the first inspection....only needed four things:
Had to buy this redline adaptor the keep the rwc man happy......just keeps everything looking stock.
painted up the air cleaner and tidied everything up to the point I'm even getting coppers compliment the car when I'm pulled over and they're checking the numbers etc......it's happened 4 times now anyway, lol
here's a few finished snaps...
Not bad......
So anyway....I was just knocking the things off the list for rwc,the guy said the adjustable panhard was fine so that went in.
oil leaks were a bit of a piss take considering its a freshly sealed motor, but I gave it a squirt down anyway.
reverse light was as simple as it sounds, got one from the rony missile.....
Last on the list was the front brake lines......no problem I thought, get some brand newies made up at Enzed,$120 the pair.......So I install em right......get in the car,no brake peddle?
I thought,ahh yeah....just needs a bleed,so I go grab the Mrs to give me a hand.....she's pumpin,im turning,but shits just not happening?
I knew exactly what was up,but still denied it until I tried everything else....removed,inspected and cleaned the calipers....nothing!?
So basically, this is what i'm dealing with now
missed the 2nd inspection because the master is in getting honed and re sealed...just waiting for a call some time this week and we're back in business!
It's shit they don't make that master cyl anymore tho,it's costing me between 250-350 to have reco'd.....prob could of found one second hand but couldn't be stuffed hunting!
Also....non Sally related(well a distant cousin anyway) I bought this thing.....
supposed to be one lady owner....I picked it up cheap just to tidy up an flog off for a little profit, pretty sure I've already got a buyer and made 500 without touching it,lol
Until next update

you prob can't see it in the pics(the rwc guy didn't notice doing the inspection)but none of that pollution gear actually goes anywhere,lol...and it has the corona radiator cable tied in the front, the ties are hidden with strips of duct tape!
PASS!
