Still loving this ride. Today she got new headers. I left the rest of the exhaust alone, I like it quiet.

Next thing will be the ac most likely.

They are Pacesetter headers, poor mans pacemakers. Purchased off a member here who bought them for an rt142 and never got around to fitting them. I did a fair bit of driving on them the first day, and I found subtle improvements. The car just generally doesn't feel as wheezy. They are a much lighter item compared to stock manifolds that are cast and have a bunch of superfluous EGR pipes coming off them. The pipe headers are maybe half the weight and require less bolts, unions and brackets also.

I also had the shop fit a bung for my wideband at the same time so I can play with the afm spring and get it as close to perfect as possible.

As far as performance, they have made some improvement. You feel a puff more torque off the line and they rev out a bit more freely. The motor doesn't feel as choked down after about 3000rpm like it used to. Actually it has a surprising amount of pull on the highway and responds better now when you first touch it. So hopefully it yields some fuel savings which is really all I'm into at this moment. Ill probably go into the workshop later once it cools off a bit and Ill pull the water temp sensors and wire brush them back to bare metal to make sure I get accurate info as the car warms up, and while I'm there Ill bolt in the AC compressor and set it back up, I might even put on a new oil filter since when I changed the oil the other day I didn't get the right one, thanks stupid chick at repco.

I may even get motivated and polish the top cover and and reinstall that with some new seals which I've had lying around for ages.

If I won the lotto there are so many things I want to do to this car, starting with an RS200 lsd diff and some nice shocks and Nolathane bushes. Also tinting and AC.

Oh its of little consequence, but I also fitted new wiper blades, simply because I was sick of looking at the rusty originals.

Does anyone know how to readhese the vinyl wear patch under the drivers feet? It delaminated from the carpet on me a few weeks ago.

The ac has been fixed. After fitting the working pump from a member on here, I fitted a new receiver drier, then TRD KE70 (chris) came over and taught me all about the finer points of the system. End result was a few new seals, some gas, oil, a vac test and bobs your aunty, 10 degree ac.

Ill be taking chris' advice and adding a thermo fan to the condenser to add efficiency, and so he can come back in a few wekks and cram a bit more refrigerant in there.

Im so happy I could cry.

This makes me want to get the A/C in mine sorted, but I'm not sure if I should just hold out until I get the Beams in.

I highly recommend it mate. My Celica has colder AC than my work ute, a 2006 v6 triton. It only goes down to 5.2, but the celica hits 3.6 degrees sometimes.
