+1 for duck tail wing
Have heard a few rumours floating around that at the end of August, Toyota Australia will be offering the TRD kit as an option to those who purchase the GTS86.
Costing is yet to be confirmed, but given the number of TRD 86 kits monthly bought into the country by our Forum Sponsor JDM Wheels, it is not surprising Toyota are offering it as an option.
If you are keen on purchasing this kit, have a look

The latest rumour out there is the FA20 engine from the Toyota 86 will be dumped and a newer FA25 engine will be installed in its place.
It is anticipated the extra displacement will see around 250 HP which is an increase of approximately 50 HP.
Whilst it is no turbo, at least it is a step in the right direction from Toyota.

They wont have their 86x86 stroke anymore though, lol
They are pretty adamant about no turbo from the sounds of the project leads

I'd prefer 86 more hp than a symmetrical stroke

yeah I know, gotta remember though, the 240Z is the car everyone looks back on fondly from that series, not the 260 or 280...

Hardly anyone with a 240z runs the stock block. They always either use the 2.6 or 2.8 from the aforementioned cars.
Good news but feel bad for first gen buyers

yes for the face lift model. everything im hearing is theyre going for sales and fucking everyone over. get everyone to buy a 2L model. get everyone to buy a 2.5L model a few years after. get everyone to buy a turbo model a few years after that.....
like a 240z i would be replacing the block in my 86 for more displacement. i hear though that its the same block just bored out to make 2.5L.... dont know how true that is. 0.5L is quite a bit of a bore....
