Hey guys, I did this run on Thursday arvo (). This run is a good warm up before hitting the Hinterland. On the last stretch (Bli Bli Yandina RD) there is a section called 'the mad mile', 1 mile of dead straight, flat road with 100km/hr limit in the middle of know where. The rest of the run consists of above average and average road surface (no pot holes), decent twisting hills and bushland. 80 k speed limits.
I'll come hang out! I don't post on here all that often and I don't usually attend car shows/meets, but I wouldn't mind hanging with some peeps who are actually into cars and not just for that hectic-JDM-hella-illest-douchebag crap.
All sounds pretty cool. I'll see if I'm back then and hope to have the rig up n running again by then. A little bit of cancer is creeping back into the old girl so trying to get it sorted and renewing the brakes and trying to sort the whistler out again. Might run outta time but give it a good crack.
Glad to see this is gaining in interest! Should be a rad day.
Simo, that is not a bad run, although I'm thinking something a little more in depth.
This is what I am thinking. Pretty hefty drive yet it covers most of the hinterland.
To save hassle for the Brissy guys, we could meet at the Ettamogah Pub. Then head through Steve Irwin Way, up through Maleny and Montville up to Mapleton where we could all meet up again, take some photos and grab a coffee or something, then do an Obi Obi run or two, then back through to Yandina.
I'm totally open to suggestions however I think this would be the best compromise between time and quality of twisties.
I should probably add, if you have an AE86dc sticker on your car, please do not street drift/do skids etc. Probably not the best idea to do silly things on these roads anywho, there's sure to be a lot of Motorcyclists out.
Also, what time suits everyone? I'd like it if it were earlier, that way most general motorists will be off the roads. Maybe 8/9am?
Watch out for speed camera van in maleny seen it there a few times just outside of maleny there heading towards woodford way but no one will be speeding so we won't have to worry

I've never come to anything ae86dc related before, but should hopefully have my ae71 running w/ 4age powa by then, would be keen for a drive and meeting people if I can make it. May bring a few friends with whom I normally go for drives with.
How does next weekend sound? I was thinking of getting together with some Brissy guys next weekend for a cruise and a bite to eat. The Sunshine Coast is sounding pretty good.
I see dumb people. Driving around like regular people. They don't see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're dumb.
