Just drive it with a relay between the ecu and tacho to give the required voltage spike. no problems was running well when I had it in the AE86

Ok got some more time on the car over the long weekend. Radiator mounted properly with the thermo's fitted and wired in. Intercooler bolted back in and the piping done, just need to weld them up. Really all I need to do now is mount the fuel pumps/filter and relays and run the fuel line and it should be pretty much good to go. There will be a few more little jobs but nothing too serious.
The new suspension turned up today. Two sets, one for mine and a second set for a mate, there is just under $4k sitting in those boxes. Will be interested to see how it goes but first impression is that it is well put together and presents well. They are 10 way adjustable with base adjust for ride height. Running 6/4.5kg split on the springs which is pretty much what I have at the moment. A nice touch is the ability to adjust the total length of the rear shock to ensure that you have full travel available. I have heard good things regarding the crew from Shockworks so thought that I would give them a try.
Keen to see what you get out of the motor dude! Rad build, awesome work!
Post sales support from shockworks is pretty awesome.
Shouldn't be long now before the car is done

Engine bay is done and the bonnet is closed. Rear suspension is in along with new pads for the brakes. Should be able to.pickup the new hand brake cables this weekend. Then I need to drop the fuel tank and put the pumps and filters in. Last step will be front suspension. to be honest I still probably have 4 weeks till it is done depending on work and the kids ;-)
I'll be waiting for the first start vid to drop!
It starts and runs now. I wanted to make sure everthing was working while i could still get to the loom and ecu easily. I finally got hold if a working rear demister switch as well so I can put the dash back in soon as well.
Great work Paul, hoping to give mine a first start in the not too distant future too
