Stock KE70 for now

Right so the Sprinter needs some paint and panel to get it up to where I would like it. I have spent far too much on the running gear for it to be sitting in the shed while I get that sorted. I have been looking for a neat AE71/KE70 to put the running gear into. I have had a couple of close ones where I was just a little too slow with the coin but maybe it is all for the best.

Just rolled this off the trailer. Local car with only 136,000km. Little bit of surface rust in a couple of places but the normal spots that are bad for rust in these are clear. Will have to track down a cross member and pedal box but other than that I will just fix the rust and give it a cut and polish and I should be away.

I will get some better photos over the weekend once I have given it a clean. The one with the black bonnet was my old one that I had in Townsville before I bought the Sprinter.

Sort of funny isn't it , Paul a whole group of us in Canberra have busted our balls on our Sprinters and now for a whole mirriod of reasons , our 86's are under repair . off the road or in some sort of hiatic . And now we are all busting our balls on various models of Corollas. There must be some sort of message in all this , but be fudged if I can figure it out ?????????

Stole is probably not the right word, you low balled him at $600. I gave him $800 on the spot........ he ended up chucking in a mint T28 to seal the deal.

I offered him what it was worth :p I didn't want it that's why I didn't offer anymore.. Should suit your needs, ya gunna rego it? It's a pretty good shell, a wash will do wonders for it

Yep will be full rego and engineered for all the stuff in the sprinter. then sell the RS turbo and get the paint and panel done on the 86.

I certainly know which one looks better, but there is a certain functionality associated with 4 doors. Anywhoo....

This thing started this arvo for the first time in about a year if the previous owner is to be believed. It need a decent dose of start ya bastard and then the timing was way out. There was about 10mm play in the accelerator cable as well. That was all I had time for this arvo but managed to go for a spin up the road and back with my young fella and he was quite impressed. Will try and tidy up the paint this weekend but I will see how I go as the bloke is coming to get the Mighty Boy on Monday and I still need to get a few things tidied and I have a Uni essay due on 23rd Aug that I haven't started yet.
