Why 16's?
They will look good on the white though!
hmm yess spose i should give an update on this...
Idle issue ended up being a wiring problem... The jz Ecu supplies +12v Via the MREL output to the EFI main relay for 3 seconds after the Ignition is shut off.
It does this to allow the IACV to reset for a restart, (might do other things as well) so the stepper motor re opens the valve to bleed air past the throttle to control the idle/cold start.
I had wired the power to the IACV from the IGN power source, so the IACV lost power as soon as the ign switch was killed.
i just had to re wire the IACV power from IGN power over to the +12v switched power from the efi main relay.
and now it all works how it should.
happy days.
ive got a few things i need to sort...needs some uni joints replaced in the tail shaft and a new rear wheel bearing.
I want to put adjustable spring seats in the rear or 86 coilovers and ive got a set of coilovers with R33/BA falcon conversion for the front.
gonna fit up my watanabe's and see how they look... spec is 16 x 8.5 - 6

I'm not a fan boy when it comes to the whole 14" 15" wheel thing.
I look at it practically.
I do a fair bit of "hwy" driving so keeping the rolling diameter up keeps the rpm down a little and gives me better fuel consumption.
I also like the look of 16's...
I've got this pretty low
It would be stupid to have the same wheel/guard clearance with 15's or 14's
I would be scraping on everything.
I also don't like any rubber profile over 60, to much flex and it's to tall and looks pox, even when stretched.
At the current ride height I have around 80mm ground clearance.
I clench my ass cheeks when I see a bump in the road lasts minute.
