I actually got the rear latch idea off one of those utes, pretty sure it was the same ute as that one pictured!
New manifold is welded up, smoothing the tubes out today. I'll grab a pic!
Hako utes make me cream

This is overdue for an update. I'll have some progress pics from the long w/e that I'll post up. But basically this is where I'm at:
- tray primed, ready for matte black followed by colorflek
- doors, front quarters and bonnet primed, and rubbed back. Colour will be on them in a few days time
- Lowering blocks installed after a major muck around
Hoping to get fuel tank sprayed, assembled and installed, tray sprayed, door jams and guard insides sprayed in colour this weekend
Where are the pics at?!
Got 4 wheels on this again and rolled it out of my garage for an overdue sweep out of metal filings and bog dust.
All the while I had the brakes off it so I thought I'd re paint them and throw new seals through them.
AE86 fronts:
and R31 rears:
few other bits and bobs being done, haven't got any photos of them at the moment. Doors are sprayed, tailgate is nearly completed too. Next up is assemble the doors, get the fuel tank and fuel lines back in and hook up the handbrake cables!
Nice! Keep us posted!
What did you do for your rear end? What size blocks are you running.
Added leaf, reset as low as they can go before being dead flat. 1 1/2 inch lowering blocks and then KYB excel G shocks. Super firm in the back but still bearable. Sit's with about 8mm to the top of the tyre with 14's and 60 tyre profile, I'll be running 13's though with a 55 profile so I think I'll be going a little lower by flipping the leafs around pr changing to 2" blocks
Nice, yeah mine is similar but no added leaf. Had local leaf guru Robbert Fish reset mine as they as they can go but still function, just got make some blocks now.
I'll be working on it tomorrow i'll get you a photo of ride height with the 1 1/2's !
