will deffiently be following this as i want to get into drifting and thought a r31 would be a relatively cheap way to get the feel for going sideways!

how does it slide? heaps of my mates think there boats and steer like poo! haha good work so far would like to see some videos if you got some too!

R31's are a pretty good base for learning how to drift. Slightly underpowered and they weigh a fair bit, but u got to start somewhere. With good coilovers and a completely stripped interior to save weight, they handle reasonably well. I'm only a noob at drifting myself but I don't see a problem with learning in it. No videos as of yet as I am only learning lol. I've only been out a few times and havnt got any descent footage yet.

yeh i was thinking that they might be fair heavy and sluggish but i guess its just to learn in and i wouldnt mind it getting beaten up as there cheap rather than a s13, 14 that i would be scared to dent and crash etc!

They still go pretty good. Rb30 is a strong torquie motor. And to save weight just completely strip everything that isn't needed. Including ac and heater core ect. Mine is pretty much two seats and half a dash in the cabin.

Yeah they do. But genuine turbo gear is becoming more and more harder to find. And the people that are selling it usually want way to much for them

Got some spare tires. Also bled the brakes but hydro didnt lock. Will bleed them again as it still feels like there is heaps of air in the lines. Will fit my vs calipers before I rebleed to. That should help with the lockin up

Took the car to queesland raceway last night. Car went well all night and didnt miss a beat. Front was a bit low so tires pulled the guards out. Easy fix. Car drove really good with the new steering setup. So much feel for the car and pretty much went where I wanted it to. Bucket seats made the world of difference too. Didnt have to lean against the door to stay upright. Completed more corners then I spun out on this time. Not bad for my 5 time out. Got a few photos taken coming onto the home straight. Hopefully they are posted up somewhere so I can see them.

Havnt done anything to this since I went out last. I did however swap my busted vs commo ute for a v8 soarer so the 1uz will most likely make its way into the engine bay of this.
