Well that's what I figured. And with the 4ac/4AGE, both have 4A-XXXXXXX engine numbers. So as far as they know it's meant to be carby. I will guarantee a rwc with the engine and carbs. Just maybe not emissions haha.

I priced up a redline yesterday.
About $240 delivered. Was also quoted $180 for linkages to suit a weber, which are side throttle, not centre throttle like mikunis. I thought that was pretty steep on the linkage.

I only look at the redline as they're a shorter manifold, so won't foul the booster and are straight.
There is a few on yahoo, but they're offset and longer. Offset to clear booster.

I don't need them right now, so will keep an eye on the auctions would be sick to get an n2 or TRD for $250

In a non-build related post, I laid my eyes upon a Toyota 2000GT this week.

It's currently at the Melbourne museum, as a part of the designing 007 exhibition. One of two convertibles made for the movie by Toyota, not cut up by the directors.
It's in the foyer, so you don't even need to pay to get in. I literally drove 1 hour into the city (dragging the lady along!) to stare at this car for half an hour and take it all in, then drove home.

*ahem*excuse me whilst I go into designer/Toyota/fanboy mode.

This car is absolutely gorgeous, and seeing it was a fantastic privilege.

I think the view across the front of the bonnet is my favourite.

As the front spreads up either side, then rapidly falls to create the wheel arches you can see the definite inspiration to the new 86. It's just a real classic, flowing design. It has been said that the 2000GT was it's design inspiration, and the AE86 was it's soul inspiration.
I honestly appreciate the new 86 more due to this car. I liked them when they were released, and I still do.

The interior is simple, and elegant. the wood is the same wood used on Yamaha pianos, as they had some input from Yamaha.

The twin exhausts were interesting. I tried to see under it from outside the museum, but the glass was quite dirty.

Just a beautiful, beautiful car. And meaningful to any Toyota enthusiast.
If you're in Melbourne, definitely check it out!

Got all my brakes and suspension bolted up today!
Brembos, QFM HPX pads, 6kg BC BR coilovers.
Also got the booster and reco'd master cylinder in. Reco'd steering rack as well.

Should be rolling by tomorrow! Woo!
Stole an idea from shortround on placement of the charcoal canister, and relocated it out of the bay/

I got it done by a brake joint called Advanced Brake and Clutch, in Croydon.
At the same time, they did brake shoes/drums and hoses.

Haven't been invoiced for it yet, but will let you know as soon as I do!
Dad being in the trade, it will be about as cheap as I get it. As for clutch master, I may just buy a new one.
If you can get ahold of a rebuild kit, it looks simple to do following the AE86 repair manual. I'm just lazy!

Here's a piccy for you! I painted the actual booster-backing myself. but received the reco'd part painted silver from the brake place.

Rack was $220 through Supasteer! Looks great, and really smooth!
My tie rods didn't need to be replaced luckily.

Looks like we're both doing the same amounts of work haha. someone I can sympathise with!

hmm not much more for a quick rack new. Have to find a local guy and go from there. Loving the build champ. You missing any bits you need have a tone of spare including the famous window clips

Hahaha, full set of window clips, safely stored under lock and key!

Only piece missing is one of my trims. It goes above the passengers head, near the Jesus handle. It's broken in two.

Other than that, it's all there, including a rear parcel shelf
