We didn't get KE74 here in Australia......
I guess our equivalent is the AE71 Panelvan (2 dor wagon), as they also have the same part numbers/front suspension as AE86
Hi guys,
I went out searching for AE86 struts [51mm OD] to fit on my ke70 project but couldnt find any. the guy at the wreckers unleashed KE74 wagon struts and they were indeed 51mm OD and with some tough Coil springs. has anyone experienced that? As a bonus, ke74 rotors and calipers were huge and vented as well. (i havent made measurements yet, but will provide the specifics)
We also discovered that the steering knuckles could be swapped onto the KE70 without issues.
However, when i checked on toyodiy, the part numbers i.e. ke70 vs ae86 are quite different.
KE74: DISC, FRONT 43512-12180
AE86: DISC, FRONT 43512-12130
KE70: DISC, FRONT 43512-12100
By looking at the above part numbers, could it be possible that the KE74 has the biggest disc/rotor? or is it true that AE86 Struts/discs/calipers are same size as KE74?
Max

Actually, you could be right, coz that particular KE74 also had a hydraulic clutch pedal box... interesting find!
