But in all seriousness we have spoken to the engineer and he said that the stock front brakes will be fine, so I'm getting some nice new front pads, cleaning the pistons in the calipers, getting the discs machined and making some brake cooling ducts as well as new wheel bearings. The front brakes in this are pretty decent from factory, they are only single pot but they are decently sized and they have pretty thick vented discs
Yeah definitely, I did the new front wheel bearings today and greased all of that up, pretty sure they were still factory 1983 toyota items, the grease smelled like burnt diff oil and I got new front pads today but they are wrong so I will exchange them tomorrow -_-
Little bits happening here and there, got brake lights now, finished the front brakes/hubs today too.
-New wheel bearings
-New heavy duty bendix 4x4 front pads
-Freshly machined discs
-Custom brake cooling ducts
-Rebuilt calipers (was heaps of muck and gunk in the pistons)
Brakes should be at least a million times better now.
