After doing my ae86 irs conversion, I also regretted not chopping more out of the floor and running rails how you have.
Getting the subframe nice and high will be a great benefit, cant wait to see how this turns out!

Not a whole lot to report from this week, just seam welding, chopping useless shit out and cutting sick with the holesaw. I fully welded the rear of the front tubs as I've seen a few wheels bust through them from time to time:
