Nathan if it is making full boost by 3000rpm then I would be going with the 3.9 you have plenty of rpm to play with and with the longer diff ratio's it will be a little more forgiving on the track if you are just starting out.

    Cheers

I just run a video camera somewhere so I can see the boost gauge and tacho. To be honest though I would be thinking that if you are running a TDO5 with 20G compressor you are not going to be making meaningful boost until 4500rpm. If you have your dyno sheet with the tractive effort on it, not power that can be useful as you can look at how the engine is responding to the boost.

    Regards

Paul is correct. Having a td05 16g evo 4 turbo, full boost isn't until 3800 ish rpm.
That is a stock smallport gze head and bottom end.
18psi on ultimate 98 will have to check afr.
Looking at cam options at the moment and installing valve springs.
Has a 3.8 ratio f series and suits well

Ok thats a good idea i have to get the rev gauge fixed then go from there. Yea you are probably right. It seems to boost fine and isnt real laggy but i have the cams as well 272/264 no head work thou, will do so on next smallport 4age one at the moment is bigport. Not sure what you mean by tractive effort on dyno sheet? Mabe i could email you the dyno sheet?
    Thanks
    Nathan

Nathan, if you want to email it through to I am happy to have a look. I have attached the dyno print from my engine, this was basically a run in tune as it was only pushing 12 psi. I am running a T25g on mine with E85.

Also a dodgey shot of the car on the track.
