Wow! this shit is rare. In the video on JNC, the owner pleads with anyone who has spare parts as they are ultra rear to come by...

Still, sweet car and heaps of potential.

    Good luck with the sale!

Agreed on the Gumtree halfwits comment! Sold a boat on there late last year.
Old boat that needed lots of work and I said everything that needed doing, but at a very reasonable price $1,200 for something that had no leaks and really just needed the motor reco'd with new water pump and some new seats...otherwise it was in pretty good shape.
The people that came and looked at it and the prices offered....well they were prices in line to the people buying I spose. The guy who took it in the end was saying that for the $800 price tag if he was not happy with it, he was bringing it back to get his money back...wtf? Bought it how you saw it mate! I would think after the hour and a half looking over the thing and the next hour talking with his wife and brother like it was a house purchase or something, you would be comfortable with it.
He ended up calling a week later to ask for his money back...ummm no. On top of that the level of scammers on Gumtree are just ridiculous.

Goodluck on the sale mate, though you should just keep it and get it dipped, blasted and undercoated then bagged and tagged for resto later so it all sits ready to roll for the wide body treatment after the 71 is done.

Cheers yeah, there are a few people who have contacted me to check it out but nobody has followed through yet. Not bothering with advertising any further than here for this car now I don't think. Might give a reserved 99c start ebay auction a go in a few weeks time when I can make myself more available for inspections, but it will most likely not be sold I get the feeling.

It's destined to be rudely modified. I'm considering doing it as my track car, group 5 style wide bodykit. Increase in both track and wheelbase, will not even be much of a Corolla when done, pretty much an AE70 turret, doors and bootlid will be only un-touched parts. Might be subaru powered, still chucking ideas around in my mind. Ruled out pretty much most forms of motorsport it could be entered into except hillclimbs. I'm currently in the process of having a shed built at home and getting ready for reno's so if this shit's still floating around when I'm done it's destined to get fucked up

This is my good one, which I'm doing up fairly original or as close to within reason. So I'm not stressing too much about how ridiculous I go on mods for the blue one if kept.

I, like a lot of people on here would love this car, except for the rust in the body. Unfortunately I think its beyond the talents of most people to repair, and to pay someone to fix it would not make economical sense with the amount of work to be done. However it is cool as hell. I think a lot of the floor panels are still listed by Toyota in the US, so if someone wanted to throw a lot of funds and time at it, it could be made solid again... you just have to find that person. Failing that, if you wanted a rather unique track only car, and basically cut the floor out of it and re-engineer the chassis and cage it, it could work quite well too.

I'm a fitter/machinist by trade working as a maintenance fitter, I do plenty of fab work so I can fix all this myself

There isn't any rust in the floor, lol. It's just mainly the boot and quarters. Even the sills seem fine.

^ Something along those lines is running through my mind ^

So once I start cutting it up there's no turning back.
