Such jdm with mixed rims too
Some shots thanks to motor authority / the car connection of the 2015 GT86.
Such jdm with the black bonnet , roof and boot huh?
I know Mercedes have a CLK that they released with a black roof which indicates it is the high performance sports model. I wonder if Toyota are following suite with this or it is just a one off car.

There are still many complaints from many perspective buyers the lack of additional power , but given more than 10,000 of these exist within Australia it is hard for Toyota to take notice and make changes.
That aside, there is still rumours of a convertible being released soon and a turbo Sedan edition.
Time will tell what happens with the power increase, but given the sales figures it is hard for someone within Toyota to put their hand up and say they got it wrong on the power front.

Just like the million motoring journos have said about the mazda MX5, if you think it needs more power, you have missed the point.
If it was turbo it would have bigger brakes, wheels, tyres, more weight and suddenly be a 40K car which puts it in the same category as Golf gti, wrx, mazda 3 mps etc which are far more practical and the 86 would lose many sales in that showroom category.
Willall racing in Adelaide have just done an N/A tune package with exhaust and intake that take it from 115rwkw on 98 to 150rwkw on E85. Think its a few grand. Clocked it at 5.9 0-100 and a 13.9 1/4 mile. Fast enough? I think so.

Missed the point, no don't think so, the majority of these, I'd say nearly all are just road cars, not used at track at all. In my daily commute I need a car with a bit of kick to get away from the traffic lights etc, and this car gets its ass handed to it by family cars, I also want a new car I don't have to modify by getting it tuned, Adelaide cops and all! I don't think they car should go turbo, but having said that the new WRX is using the FA turbo, so the engines already done! It should of been 2.5ltr, now surely that wouldn't of cost much more if anything to add, the GTS brakes would be large enough and the extra torque/power would of made it seriously nice. I think Toyota sort of mossed the point and kept putting all it's eggs in the handling basket, but lets be honest guys, if I rip around a corner in an 86, get sideways and the cops see me, I don't own that car for a period of time(impound) and I get a fine! I want a new car, I want something small, light and fun with a bit of kick....hmmm Fiesta ST maybe??? or upper end Megane RS. The 86 could of been so much more.
