In car vid of a run, the Go Pro had a vibration noise issue but its not too bad.
Anyways....one of my runs.
So finally was able to be in town and not away for work to attend a race meeting with the Hachi.
Interesting running, not out of this world times but figured out a few things that need looking into before returning to the track.
So I only ran a 55.3 I think best over the weekend, as said nothing out of this world but just on existing tyres I see prob another two seconds to make up in getting used to breaking later with it and finding the right gear/rev through the loops, extra1-2 secs with decent tyres and prob a bit more with suspension sorted a bit more...so at a wide guess if I could dip into the high 40's once sorted I'd be happy.
Tyres, current ones are admittedly stretched to the rims and need to be soft and fit the rim better as opposed to medium compound and stretched as they did not even come in temp wise during the whole run.
Suspension, way too stiff and I need to back it off a little to allow more travel. Current setting would be fantastic on a nice smooth racetrack though.
Driver! He needs to spend a bit more time behind the wheel getting used to the gearing, where the peak power bands are and feeling the road a bit more letting the car do the work and not him.
Overall was a great experience and got away with murder on the Saturday as I looped it over the finish line spinning at a decent speed but managed to keep it off the wall with only a minor graze on the front lip of the bumper which is easily fixed. In car vid of the spin to come.
I love the sound of it at full noise though, oh man its Hachi porn! That intake flutter and scream is so good!
Austin from the Forum here came out to have a look too so cheers mate and good to meet you.
Pics from the event and as said in car vid or two coming.

And then I did this......lucky to get away with very minimal damage!
Kept running and just gave the corner more respect in future runs throughout the weekend.
Nice save over the brow of the hill...looks like a very narrow track.
Did you drops wheel off or just the rear weight transferring leaving it a bit light?
Did you read about Cootha holding the Brisbane festival of motorsport next year, that would be an event to race at.
looks like you had fun mate. my dad run his bright orange club V out there and said he was talking to you. hopefully catch up out there soon. got a missile ze keto nearly done

Yeah after the weight transfer and camber over the line it pushed me left and dropped the rear left into the dirt and it was all over from there.
Pretty thin track mate but good fun.
Yeah saw the thing about that, they are trying to get it off the ground again.
I'd be keen to do it, went along to watch at prev ones and looked really good.
Yeah mate was good fun, haha your dad is a funny bugger, he helped me out a bit too so thank him for that too again when you see him next.
Hopefully mine will be a bit more of a missile with better rubber and some minor suspension changes for next time.
