rear wheel cylinder help pleasure
so i have replaced my rear wheels cyls about 3 times now,
and its getting to the point where i don't know anymore,
so the first time i through it was a shit part so i got new ones did the same thing,
so i replaced the brake master and cleaned all the lines out,
so today i fitted in a brand new pair
i put them in and waited for the brake fuild to come thru then i pumped it and bleed them and what not,
so then to check everything is all good i pull the shoe off and the left side popped off,
so now I'm frustrated
so what could be causing this?
and is the rear wheel cylinder fix able
Just checking did it look like that when you pulled the drum off with out touching anything & if so Pressure etc is not going to cause it, the only thing I can think of at the moment is the wheel cylinders are wrong as in not wide enough, do you still have the old ones to compare against ..
If you have the shoe holdback pins in place correctly, that piston can't come out. Its usually quite a battle to get the damm shoes far enough apart to get them off in fact.
I pulled a drum off recently on a mate's car and the clip that holds the spring up against the shoe fell out, so odd things do happen to them.
Apart from that, it is very strange. Are all the other brake components on the backing plate where they should be? Nothing broken off? I assume you've changed the shoes along the way and the new ones have the same problem as the old ones..
Yeah I haven't change the shoes, It was all working sweet I had to take the
out cause I put them in my daily,
and now when I went to put new ones in, there been nothing but proplems
You need to explain your self better if you want help, as I asked earlier did it look like that when you pulled off the drum or are you trying to bleed it with the drums off ?? we need a full explanation of what you are doing to get the piston to pop out like it has
I sorted it all out I took apart the hole rear disk set up,
* rear drum set up

Haha just do it.... And never buy cheap parts
