    Alots been going on

    first off paint
The colour i had mixed up isnt the right shade :/
    very slightly off
Took the doors off & painted the jams & fuel flap
    Its close but aint perfect

I'm going a different direction now & will be getting it professionally resprayed, everything will be painted other than the bay & interior - will have full trim so will never be seen anyways

I want it to be perfect, i have a colour decided but you'll have to wait & see
    Heh heh :p

    Some parts arrived too
New engine & gearbox mounts, clutch slave, shifter boot, fpr adapter, Jdm kouki a/c decal, braided fuel line, jdm start up guide for the drivers door

Got some smallport injectors + rail - had a set but sold them many months ago derppp
    Gave them a thorough clean

Found an a/c button at a wreckers off an ae82 from memory
Car doesnt have a/c though but i feel it will finish off the look nicely

    Been working heaps on suspension

Now going to run suzuki sierra rear shocks in the rear
Left is sierras, right is standard stroke 86 :o

    They are so small!

Up from im running st185 celica shocks
40mm shorter than standard 86 struts

After smashing the hell out of the rusted gland nut i found a set of trd yellows!
    Sweet as!

Ghetto as spacer work was going on though :s

    Left celica, right trd's

I then measured up the strut & worked out how much i needed cut out
Got it cut - dont have access to a drop saw
    Then started welding

A while later they are done!

New wheel bearings arrived too so fitted them up
As well as the lca bushes & ball joints

    Smallport dizzy to run coilpacks

Made some internal filters - credit goes to a member on ae86dc & club4ag

    I dislike the 'sock' style
So thought it was an awesome idea

I got some low density foam from clark rubber - can see your hand through it say easily
Fly screen from mitre 10 - again see though & the 'stronger' stuff
Hard to explain but doesnt bend easily
Then some gasket sheets cut to size

From throttle to trumpet it goes
    -gasket
    -fly screen
    -foam
    -fly screen
    -gasket

Will use some filter oil of some description to trap the fine dust particals later down the track

In theory it should work quite well
Fly screen will capture the larger particles
    foam smaller particles
Then the second fly screen for safety

Also the stronger fly screen would prevent the throttles from sucking up the foam

Im hope it doesnt choke the engine too much at lower rpms but see how it goes

    Bits arrived

    Broadway mirror
Prefer the look of a square mirror + the added sight always helps

Gred rear brace & t3 bigport itb adapter

Began to mount up the throttles, intake gasket on, adapter bolted down with new bolts & 20v throttle body gasket used from adapter to throttles
Over kill but might as well use it :p

Need go get some more bolts to mount the throttles up

also got the scrubbing brush out & soapy water to clean all the interior floor, very dusty from the bay shave

Dash back is all stripped out, giving everything a once over & getting those never cleaned bits

Those type of air filters will restrict the engine far more than any other type because of how small the filter surface area is, would be infinitely better off running socks or a proper plenum if you want to make power.

    More parts arrived!

Rx7 fc aero mirrors, walbro 255 fuel pump & assorted sized braided wiring sleeves

Mirrors need a bit of a tidy up but nothing major

Decided to go a intank pump since ive got a JDM tank so a surge tank is a bit much

The pumps pretty strong flow but have been doing some research & chatting to dudes with similar setups & they say its great!

fuel rail looked a bit sad so started to polish it up, still wet rubbing with a heavier grit paper but its looking shinyy

throttles are all together, filters in, new bolts thoughout - gold too :p
essembled the engine components to see what it'll look like
    so happy with it!

Wired up the fuel pump this afternoon
Used the braided wiring sleeves to tidy everything up nicely
It came with two rubber sleeves to reduce noise
    Might as well use it

Finished polishing the fuel rail also

What fuel rail adaptor are you using there? Where did you get it from? I had dramas getting one recently, kept getting the wrong bolt spacing supplied to me.
