Have the headers a solid polish & test fitted to the engine
Looking epic man!
Holy shit those headers are porn!
Did you get them from RHDJapan? And did you pay $1300+ ????? Fkn awesome and bonus points for your build!
Great build by the way. I want your car.

Haha thanks man its getting there piece by piece
:p i love them haha
Nah i was going too but then had to worry about postage posts (high because of weight & where its coming from) also custom taxes
I bought them off a guy on aus for a decent price, thats all im saying
Cool thing is they have the o2 sensor too which alot of them dont have, also pretty uncommon to see them with the 'tornado' style
Thanks man much appreciated ^-^
Lapped all the valves & started changing out the valve steam seals - such a pain in the ass haha
Got some upgraded valve springs too, borrowing my mates valve spring compressor tool when he's down from work
Rwd alternator bracket arrived & painted up
Been doing some body work too, found a bit of surface rust on the passenger rear guard
Its been converted & need to fill & paint
After alot of thought ive decided to go orange panda paint scheme - the orange paint is going to be far too hard to match, thankfully all the rust repaired sections are along the black part of the paint scheme
same as a few nicks & scratches
I've started masking up the body mouldings & working out where the black section follows the body lines
Its hard to explain but if you have a look at a panda schemed 86 you'll know what i mean
I've sanded, primed & began painting too the lower section underneath the body moulding
Hopefully will get a bit done over the weekend
Pics when its complete
So far its looking great! Progress is slow due to the cold as weather :p
Ive learnt that cold + paint doesnt mix haha
Got some foglights
Modified the letterbox grille to suit - cut out the rear section
Planning on running them through the headlight loom to a switch to the parker lights so they can only be turned on when the lights are on
First time playing around with relays so bench tested it to work it all out, all alot easier than i expected
Also rewired the thermo fans - previously they were wired in so they kick in at a certain temperature
Whilst looking at the wires it looks like they wire wired backwards? So the rans rotate the wrong way, not too sure what was going on
also bench tested with a switch to make sure everything was working correctly - they never seemed to kick in from memory so never knew if they worked
Im simplifying the system alot
Running to the ignition so they are always on & dont need to worry about faults + constant cooling
Im planning on tucking the headlight loom into the guards & extending the wires
The loom is messy at the moment but will soon be tidied up nicely & all re done
Engine wise i had to remove the actual throttle body section (top bit) from the throttle body
Of course all the screws are seized so had to easy out the lot
Big job but its done at last
Pistons are being a real pain, first lot were bigports (18mm pin) - sold them off, second ones were 20mm (smallport pin size) but didnt have the cut out for the oil squirters so sent them back
3rd lot were exactly what im after - many emails later
Works out they arent available to post for months
Got a refund but still need pistons
Feeling annoyed about it all, thats all i need for the bottom end to be built
Ah well, do some more looking & see what i can find
Have a heap of stuff on order so that should be here soon
I know the Endurotec pistons have the right cut outs to suit the oil squirters, and plenty available to purchase too.
