I have pry'ed my lights and indicators apart before and fkk me you have to be carefull a heat gun works ok but its a bit of a task still.
I agree the standard lights are not the best thing.

hmmmm, I had some of those headlights not so long ago... fairly sure I sold them for quite a good price on ebay though... maybe use ones with cracked glass...

I know with the mkIII supra's you can use nsx lights, surely there'd be something similar to that for the trueno

To my understanding, the Trueno just uses generic square shaped sealed beam headlights, the same as in thousands of comercial vehicles and other 80's cars with pop-up lights. So there are lots of upgrades available, the first option being a H4 conversion kit if it does not have that already.
There are less options for the Levin.
