i cant post anythign that is helpful....but your car is so damn sexy....making me wet
have a few question running through my head here.
im doin a 4agze to gte conversion at the moment,i have the engine completly rebuilt, hks turbo kit etc.
im using the ,messy gze loom and standerd gze ecu.is there any problems that arise by using this? as ive been told its pretty much plug and play only the boost cant be raised over 15psi but thats easily sorted.
second thing is that i have a 5th injector but no controller the gze should be fine witout it but is this something to consider maybe for highr boost?
lastly all i want to know is some power figures some of you got wit standered internals except maybe cams...
thanks guys
ha thanks if that was you in your pic id be be feelin the same too lol
Well the first issue you'll have is that in every setup, the result is only as good as the weakest link. In your case you'll have a massive weak link trying to some how use the factory ECU to run a turbo.
Lets face it, using a standard GZE ECU is a genuninely shit idea. Sure you'll get a little more out of it with the turbo, but if you're going to stick with a standard ECU you might as well stick with the supercharger.
And so how exactly do you plan to sort out the boost limit? From memory I thought it was a fair bit less than 15psi which you're limited to, but I could be wrong.
Seriously, just do it right, get an aftermarket ECU.
ill eventually get an ecu but moneys an issue so it will initialy have to run on the gze ecu.as for boost im pretty sure its like14.7 psi or something and can be raised by using a fuel cut defender as im told. the gze engine is perfect for the job and the 365cc injectors should hold up to the job and if all comes to all i have a fifth injector. im sure plenty of ppl run gze ecu and maybe get a piggyback or air/fuel controller so fine tune fueling
read this thread:
Some details of MY motor on GZE ECU, not here-say.
I am making 160rwkw on stock GZE computer.
Using a 5th injector is a shit idea.
Get an emanage not a FCD, will easily allow the car to make over 200rwkw, but the injectors will only do around 180rwkw.
good info there!!
so lets say the most i can get outa the gze ecu is about 250bhp?
how about an apexi air/fuel controllers as apposed to an emanage?
as for injectors would i be right saying the 7mgte supra 440cc ones are a direct replacement?
Yes, you can use the stock GZE computer (as pointed out by Jaz too). I think they work surprisingly well. Yes, an aftermarket computer will allow you to fiddle with things, and is a good idea. But you'll be fine to run it on the stock computer while you save up for that. Also in my opinion, if you're going to change the computer, get a real one you can tune, not just a piggyback air-fuel controller.
Yes, 7M 440s are a straight swap, even the plugs match. But don't change injectors until you have a programmable ECU.

Best bet is run the GZE ECU under 14PSI and save for something better. Keep saving for a complete computer and not worry about piggy back computers.
Having said that, Emanage's are very poorly understood items. Have a read around about them. They are probably closer to a PowerFC (without hand controller) with the laptop tuning than some old school knob tuning at set RPM.
got a apexi afc for free so i might see how that works out
