Those wheels are cool as f***
updates!
installed one of the ebay AE71 radiators. the passenger side pretty much lined up had to redrill one hole and the drivers side i just made some
little brackets up. used a toyota camry radiator hose i think, and made a crossover pipe for the bottom to the original bottom hose. worked out pretty good
everyone loves pictures "missionuuu ridiathurrr"
rim party!
Dude!!! You went to Bankok to get a front end? Thats gold! How did you find it? did you just get the quads and bars? great fitment on the front 1/4's with the quads!
How the hell did you find that motor?
Good job man! Dam!
hey sam! yeah mate was on holidays there years ago, and me and my mate spotted a quad light dx in the street, then went back to our hotel, showed the hotel taxi driver
the picture and he said "ok, we go". ended up in this area with 1jz and 2jz piled in piles in the streets, anyhow we were walking around showing the same picture to the local sellers, and one man pointed to this 3 storey high building. we went there and showed the man and he said "yes" so we followed him up the stairs with doors and parts everywhere where he dug out a pair of headlight buckets, and he got new surrounds and parkers for me. we went back the next day. the bumper i found out the front on the street, i recognised it as a ke70 chrome bumper. success!! so when i flew back to aussie i had a suitcase full of headlights and a grille, and a bumper wrapped in bright green towels and taped with blue tape!!! should have seen customs whahaha!
and the engine haha. used a engine inporter in perth, and it was totally ratshit when i recieved it. had water go down the carbies and number 4 piston was seized in there.... i just honed the shit out of the block to remove the rust marks around the rings. this guy has a bad reputation for selling shit engines, especially sr20's haha. but all good
upon stripping it i pleasantly found the block was debburred inside, crank was knife edged, was bored out to fit 5k pistons, and had a 3k head. so i rebuilt the carbies and kitted them, had to make up some linkages as these were snapped in transit, and fitted new rings.
its a slapper of a motor but goes really well
cheers
a few months ago i noticed some rust had started to have a bit of a party on my beloved!! this was not on
so
this was after i welded and ground the hole and rust converted it
wallla. took about 2 days of fairly steady work, and cos its a home job it always takes longer
then i sprayed from the inside fish oil into all the cavities of the car!! pulled all the door trims off and sprayed like a wild goanna full of crystal meth and a monday night
the rusts party was over

updates!!
been in indo for the last 3 weeks at my wifes loving it! went to jakarta to visit my mate denny who i bought my indonesian corolla off, and he took us to Bandung about 2 hours south of jakarta. there we met Corolla Retro Club CRC and seen some of their cool cars.
seen this
this is my mate yosefs Ke70 in jakarta. pictures dont do this car justice!!!! 100% original and he is a fanatic!! Even the badges on the boot are perfect.
and it runs as smooth as a sewing machine. something i really admire
notice the wheels... i had them sitting around at home, and he wanted them so he got them shipped to jakarta. And he got them polished, came up mint!!
the Aussie CSX alloys are equivalent to the GT TE70 spec, so these wheels are really rare in indo, hence why he wanted them :-)
and finallyyyyyyyyyyyy some goodies for my wagon!!
9.5mm twin core lead set yeeeooww!! should look pretty good
and some repro bumper caps for my front bumper
should neaten it up a bit :-)
tis all
Dang shoulda brought me back some chrome bumper mounts and a jdm beaver panel, last pieces of my puzzle
;D
Awesome man! where did you get the blinds for your wagon???
i got them from the ebay seller that sells the ke70 sedan venetians and asked if he had wagon ones and he did. not cheap tho
and Seventy i assume your trying to make quads fit on your Aussie flat front?? you dont need a jdm one, just test fit the headlights and mark on
the panel which bits hit and modify to suit. I cut the pieces out with a angle grinder, and i think kyle unwin bashed his with a hammer haha
