yeah 3SGE's will do that, tall motors. with the older turbo version the manifold would actually sit even higher like thru the bonnet .

and the newer ones,

my beams sumps a little lower, and i a wee bit further back, my starter has about 30mm clearance, looks like bit of a tight fit, if you can be bothered just go in from the other side and tig a little mount and brace, cut a little box out the tunnel.

i dont want it to be any lower. idealy it would be better lower. but already the sump is the lowest point of the car. one ripple strip and it will be gone.

Can you modify the sump and pickup a little. obviously its not ideal. or make a nice bash plate.

sump will be fine, mine was 25mm below x member, id recommend a bash plate though if your going to see ripple strips

your using a 4y bellhousing ? does the clutch fork clear the floor at full extenstion ? im thinking bout changing to a 4y one to get my starter and clutch slave away from the exhaust altho it hasnt been a problem yet

yeah. clutch fork clears by a mile. well about 60mm. just had to give fuel lines a bit of a tweak. its 3y i think.
you running 2s bell?
