i am having so much fun driving this thing on the road.
was leaving for work today, not even thinking tried to put my toolbox in the boot..... all was sweat until i realised the boot would not shut.
had to put all my tools in a smaller box. was worth it but.
little updates. this might be confusing as i have a thread on this car.
because the coupe is registered dont want to take it off the road. so i am mocking up the conversion in this shell then will knock the conversion over in a few days in the coupe. plus the coupe has to berunning for the annual.
after pulling the engine in and out several times this is the best spot i could come up with. i am pretty happy with it. it is pretty close to the steering rack yet not to high. not happy with how low the sump sits but i gues i will just have to deal with it.
mounts are tacked on and i started welding them on solid tonight.
next will be gearbox mounts then tailshaft. other f series is in this shell too.
picked up my mx13 F series on the weekend from flynns wreckers at cooma. fu*k they have some cars there.
tossing up what lsd and ratio to run. thinking of just getting another trd lsd. but am short of cash at the moment.

I just happened to notice, but pictures always lie.. The line that the steering shaft would make to the uni joint on the rack seems close to where the starter motor would be. Will/Does it clear ?

The only mod that i had to do was shave the end of the intake to clear the brake booster, besides that she went in like a dream.
that place at cooma is the place where all teh cars in aus go to die, car graveyard!
