Ahh well, they're in a good spot. Can always re-mount deeper one day if you can be bothered.

I don't think I'll ever be bothered to change them. I initially had tried to mount them deeper, but the gauge fouled on the air vent below and some other crap. I probably could have made them work but I didn't like the angle they would have been on.
How the engine bay looks now. Had to remotely mount the oil pressure switch and sender due to a case of the weight of them sheering the brass fitting in half leaving me on the side of the road with 4L of oil on the ground. If anyone cares, the weight of the switch and sender unbraced will eventually break.
Another very overdue update as I am bored at the moment.
Firstly: Really wanted to go back to having mesh wheels again, so I got some 14 x 6 Volks and had them widened to 14 x 8 all round, -10 rear and +2 front. Took like 5 months to get done but couldn't have been happier since they showed up. It's not that I didn't like the Watanabes, but after I had seen some old photos of my car with the Impul mesh, I felt like mesh suited it better (my thought anyway at this time). I still have the Watanabes in the shed for skidders and when I change my mind again!
Secondly: Remade my dump pipe and exhaust system (at home with the car on stands - WORST IDEA EVER, PRICK OF A JOB W/OUT A HOIST!) Gave the dump pipe more clearance to the firewall and floor pan so that it now doesn't hit when the engine is cranking at startup. Also made the exhaust much higher than before so I have more ground clearance. The centre muffler is still the lowest point, but there is nothing more I can do about it as it is essentially touching the floor pan as it is.
Thirdly: Now rock a spirit wing on the boot. Was for sale for $15 at the annual local 'Swap Meet', however, a friend of mine who owed me some money pulled out his haggling cap and purchased it for me for the sum of $10, all of which he paid in silver coins! Originally was a faded red and came attached to the boot lid it came on. Got it home, spent 20mins cleaning it and painting it black, then with said friends help, mounted it to our surprise in the correct position!
Finally: Relocated my battery to the boot so I could tidy up my engine bay a little bit. By removing the battery from the engine bay, I had room to mount the fusebox better, tidy up wiring, install battery isolation switch, and make a proper air box and intake for the turbo. Took a bit of fucking around, but I am happy with the result.
Anywho, pictures etc.
I am slowly ticking things off my to-do list with my car, but I don't think I'll run out of ideas anytime soon!
Going to start saving for a W series conversion as I know the T50 won't hold forever. Plus it will be getting a work out in November at Raleigh Raceway. I am also thinking of removing the abortion-like intake manifold I have and replacing it with a standard Bigport one. Have one in the shed, but I don't know if it is worth doing? Thinking it will at least look a whole lot neater with a factory manifold.
Well, that's me done.
Enjoy, (if anyone was reading)

Whilst allot of people don't post comments be assured your thread is being read...
this is real nice man (: can't wait to see/hear it at raleigh!
That looks awesome! Rims suit well. Nice job.
$10 spirit wing! Biggest bargain ever
haha I get the same feeling with no one commenting on my posts... but people definitely do read them.
this is looking good and I love the widened 14s, what is on in November at Raleigh ? just a grip day or drifts ?
Cheers guys.
Yeah $10 spirit wing was pretty insane! The swap meet is 99.9% trash but occasionally you can find good stuff. Definitely glad I got it though, really changed the look of the car I think.
Dion, Raleigh is a drift weekend. Have a look in the events section and you'll see the thread. Don't think there are many spots left, so if you were keen to enter, better get a move on!
